Chrysin-Loaded Microemulsion: Formulation Design, Evaluation and Antihyperalgesic Activity in Mice
نویسندگان
چکیده
Chrysin is a bioactive flavonoid found in pollens, passion flowers, honey, royal jelly, and propolis, which commonly used as an ingredient natural food supplements primarily responsible for their pharmacological properties. A transparent chrysin-loaded microemulsion (CS-ME) prepared through ternary phase diagram was evaluated use antihyperalgesic formulation. It formulated with 40% Labrasol® (surfactant), 5% isopropyl myristate (oil phase) 55% water (aqueous classified oil-in-water (O/W) microsized system (74.4 ± 15.8 nm). Its negative Zeta potential (?16.1 1.9 mV) confirmed by polarized light microscopy dynamic scattering analysis. In vitro studies Franz-type static diffusion cells showed that chrysin release from CS-ME followed zero-order kinetics. Oral administration of mice resulted statistically significantly reduction (p < 0.05) carrageenan-induced mechanical hyperalgesia compared to the control group. Treatment also anti-inflammatory activity decreasing TNF-? level 0.01) increasing IL-10 These results suggest proposed microsystem promising vector chrysin, being able improve its capacity modulate inflammatory nociceptive responses.

Formulation and evaluation of celastrol-loaded liposomes.
The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the intestinal absorption and the antineoplastic effect of the poorly water-soluble drug celastrol when liposomes were used as oral drug delivery system. Liposomes were prepared by the ethanol-injection method. An optimized liposome formulation composed of phospholipid, cholesterol and Tween-80 resulted in favorable encapsulation efficiency at 98.0...
متن کاملOfloxacin Ocular Inserts: Design, Formulation and Evaluation
In developing a drug delivery strategy, issues of absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination must be considered. The eye presents unique opportunities and challenges when it comes to the delivery of pharmaceuticals. While absorption by this route is bungling, there are few side effects with conventional ocular dosage forms. Hence, ocular inserts were prepared with prolonged release o...

Formulations were developed using thin film hydration technique. Developed formulations were characterized for particle size, shape, % entrapment efficiency, in vitro drug release, etc. After analyzing the results, best formulation is optimized ...
متن کاملPreclinical Study of Ibuprofen Loaded Transnasal Mucoadhesive Microemulsion for Neuroprotective Effect in MPTP Mice Model
Ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), showed very promisingneuroprotection action, but it suffers from high first pass metabolism and limited abilityto cross blood brain barrier. Severe gastric toxicity following oral administration furtherlimits its utility. Hence, the aim of this study was to investigate whether ibuprofen loadedmucoadhesive microemulsion (MMEI) could enha...
